With an extensive resume of cooking, serving and catering experience, Jessica and Benjamin Troy were asked to take the reigns of Hot Rod City’s classic, family-style diner in September of 2016. Sean Larose, owner and operator of Hot Rod City, familiar with Jessica through her long tenure at Adelle’s Coffeehouse, pegged her as the perfect piece to bring his diner dreams to the next level.
The two conjured a new name and theme to replace what was once Cherry Bomb’s Diner, keeping in mind that their location was far out of town and that the crew was sure to be far out as well. The Far Out Diner was born and many hands helped along the way to make it what it is today. Through a growing collection of lore and nostalgia, the Far Out Diner features themes of intergalactic mystery and extraterrestrial whimsy. Staffed with close friends and family, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, familiar and fresh. The menu features many housemade baked goods as well as many other culinary classics, approached with creativity and a lot of fun.
